I had been very cramped for free workspace when I was using a laptop, mouse, keyboard, calculator, and other essentials. I prefer a full-size keyboard when using my laptop and it just left me with no room to work.This shelf is perfect for my use. Instead of using the shelf for a monitor as in the stock photo, I place my laptop on top of the shelf, my laptop cooling pad underneath (which works perfectly since the cooling pad's air can flow through the shelf's open grid. My keyboard fits partially underneath, and I can store it completely underneath when I need additional room. This shelf is very adjustable as far as height, so I was able to customize the fit for my hardware. And since it's a corner unit, it doesn't take up valuable center workspace, freeing that space for the important things -- like my cup of coffee!
