I had read a scathing review that was posted on almost every web site that sold this product but decided to purchase it anyway since was was so inexpensive. I am very happy with the purchase. It was easy to assemble. The only warning (but not really a complaint) is that it is not sturdy when free standing (e.g not against two corner walls). It shifts slightly if you put a printer on the very top shelf and it starts printing if it is not resting between two corner walls. However, the printer is supposed to be placed on the bottom shelf and the unit is supposed to be flush against a wall. When the unit was placed flush against the wall it was amazing how study it became, even if you place a printer where it is not supposed to go (e.g on the top shelf).I live in a studio apartment and of the six people who have seen the desk, all have commented how much they like it.
