Buyers beware! I ordered the Apollo Computer Desk from Home & Living and the experience has become a nightmare. The computer desk's frail plywood broke as I was constructing it. I contaced Home and Living twice and was told their computer system was down and I would recieve a follow-up phone call to confirm my "pending" refund. Still no call or refund in over a month (as of Sep 8, 2008)!!!!"

this computer desk was going to fix all of my space needs. i wanted something that would accommodate a larger computer screen, something i could setup computer speakers on, and still have plenty of room underneath for my long legs. the tower type desks seemed to be the way to go for me. the problem is that these tower desks tend to use particle board as the main source of foundation for the desks stability and construction. DO NOT BUY A PARTICLE BOARD BASED COMPUTER DESK TOWER. if it says wood and it's a tower desk, run the other way. wood screws get stripped, particle disintegrates and flakes off in your hand, metal tubes never line up properly because the wood (actually particle board) is slightly warped, on and on...

these types of desks are a nightmare. once i finally got the bottom shelf shipped to me (one of the wood screws was stripped), i put this piece of junk together and starred at it for 20 seconds and then immediately set up an appointment with goodwill to come... Read more

Assembly goes well until you tighten the screws and the metal inserts strip out and rip the partical wood apart. But after all the cussing and frustration it is not worth returning. You just get over the gaps in the fit, the cracked parts, the wobblyness and figure you can use if for a year and THROW IT AWAY.
