It looks very nice and doesn't take up a lot of space in our computer room. HOWEVER the instructions were extremely complicated and the nuts and bolts that came with this were not good and did not hold it together at all. AND my husband has been a carpenter for 35 years!!!! We finally threw away the instructions and put it together with the picture after we went to the store and bought brackets and better bolts more appropriate for this type of a desk. I am happy with the product but only after we improved on the instructions and hardware. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  Good EXCEPT the keyboard tray, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Southern Enterprises HO6641 Corner Desk, Mission Oak (Kitchen) Unlike some of the other reviews, I was able to assemble the desk alone with little skills to contribute on my own. It looks good and fits my needs perfectly. However, the construction of the keyboard/mouse tray is seriously wacky. First it is way too shallow and does not allow much room depth-wise. Secondly, there are length-wise issues as the tray does not allow much room for a keyboard and mouse. The most serious issue is that the tray came with a lip (I can only guess at its true purpose) that is raised 1/2 inch above the surface of the try. For the keyboards and mice in today's technology (that is, flatter than older versions) this is a HUGE issue for the user's wrists. The lip cannot be taken off easily so I had to create a 1/2 inch thick pad for the keyboard and mouse to raise them to a level that would not cause immediate wrist issues. This allows even less space to move the mouse. It is very frustrating since I like everything else about the desk. I will be looking... It is just perfect and I love sitting at it in the morning. All my makeup is in trays on the keyboard tray, so I just slide it out and do my makeup at my lighted mirror. My husband is very skilled at putting furniture together as we have bought a number of flat pack pieces over the years, and he did not have any particular difficulty with this desk. I am particularly happy that the color of the wood is well represented by the photo as it matches the bedroom furniture which I have had for over 30 years. Just delighted. |
